Business symposium for women set for Modesto

MODESTO — Gallo Center CEO Lynn Dickerson and UC Merced Chancellor Dorothy Leland will headline the First Annual Business Women’s Symposium, Nov. 5. The business symposium is presented by the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the Stanislaus Business Alliance.

The symposium will be held from 8 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Nov.5 at Greens on Tenth Street, at 953 10th St. in Modesto. Tickets are $20 and include a breakfast buffet, raffle entry and swag bag. There will be a panel that will take questions and networking opportunities for attendees.

Panelists for the symposium will include Julia Rhodes, Founder and President of KleenSlate Concepts LP; Christine Schweininger, CEO of Vision Magazine and Vice President of the Central Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Ann Endsley, Founder and Owner of Greens Table.

Reservations are highly recommended as seating is limited.

“We’re getting a tremendous response,” Katy Winders, SBDC Assistant Director said in a press release. “We’re honored by the number of companies that have stepped up to sponsor and support this symposium.”
