SACRAMENTO – California voters aren’t particularly upbeat about the state’s economy, according to the latest Field Poll. Despite 48 percent of voters saying their personal finances have improved in the last year, 50 percent still describe the state as being in bad economic times. Only 33 percent feel that the state is in good economic times.
Voters feelings about their own improving situation comes after an unusually long six-year period from 2008-2013 in which more voters reported worsening financial fortunes.
Looking ahead, 39 percent of voters polled feel that things will stay largely the same while 37 percent believe the economy will improve. Just 19 percent think things will get worse.
