SACRAMENTO — The Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) will hold 15 workshops across the state dealing with tax credits. The California Competes Tax Credit is aimed at businesses wanting to create new full-time jobs in the state.
An area GO-Biz California Competes Workshop on the program will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., Dec. 10 in Manteca. Event registration and information can be found here.
GO-Biz will award a total of $200 million in tax credits in fiscal year 2015-16. The next CCTC application period starts Jan. 4, 2016, with $75 million in tax credits available. Businesses interested in applying can register to attend any of the workshops and receive valuable information from GO-Biz staff.
The deadline to submit an application for the tax credit is Jan. 25, 2016. The online application will be available on Jan. 4 at the California Competes website.
